We have made the next version of VCLZip available as a beta to currently registered users of VCLZip 4. However, even if you are not a registered user you can see what the capabilities are by downloading the VCLZip Utility Example, a full featured zip utility that is powered by the new VCLZip beta. The code for this utility will be included with the beta version of VCLZip.
If you are a registered user of VCLZip 4 and are are interested in testing out the beta, send an e-mail to support@vclzip.com to receive download instructions. Be sure to include enough information so that we can find your registration record.
Download the utility below and let us know what you think. If you find any problems (it’s a beta so we expect to still find problems), have any questions, or if you have any ideas that will make VCLZip’s implementation of Unicode even better, let us know. Yes, we know, the application isn’t pretty. It is only meant to be an advanced example for using VCLZip and to show it’s capabilities. We’ll leave creating the beautiful apps to you developers. :-)
